CHOMP Burger Co. ("CHOMP", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our restaurants, use chomp.gr or the CHOMP app, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, so if anything is unclear, email privacy@chomp.gr.
01Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, information collected automatically when you use our services, and limited information from partners.
- Account details: name, email address, phone number and password when you create a CHOMP app account.
- Order details: items ordered, pickup location, order time, and special instructions such as allergies.
- Payment information: processed by our payment provider. We store only the card type and last four digits.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, app version, pages viewed and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Precise location: only if you choose "Find nearest" or enable location in the app, and only at that moment.
02How we use your information
We use personal information to run CHOMP and make it better. Specifically, to take and fulfil your orders, run the loyalty stamp programme, answer your messages, prevent fraud, keep our services secure, and understand which menu items and pages people actually use.
If you opt in, we also use your email to send the newsletter and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that works the first time.
05How long we keep it
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Order history is kept for as long as Greek tax and accounting law requires. Contact form messages are deleted after 24 months. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it by law.
06Your rights and choices
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@chomp.gr or use Settings → Privacy in the app. We will respond within 30 days and will never charge you or treat you differently for asking.
07Children's privacy
CHOMP services are not directed to children under 15 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
08Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, so we also limit what we collect in the first place.
09Terms and changes to this policy
Your use of CHOMP services is also governed by our Terms of Service. We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
